Swoop has appointed Declan O’Callaghan to the role of chief operating officer, replacing Julian Breen who left late last year. 

In his new role, O’Callaghan will oversee the telco's operations to support the business and onboard Swoop’s customers.

He brings over 25 years' telecommunications experience, having spent the last two as COO at Vonex. 

“I’m very excited to be taking on the role of chief operating officer at Swoop after a period of high growth. Swoop has offered me a platform to enable our team to shine through accountability and values," O’Callaghan said.

O’Callaghan's previous stints include over a decade as managing director at Voiteck and over 10 years at Vodafone, where he most recently served as managing director.
