PGF includes a Demonstration Equipment and Demand Generation program, for partners to focus on new customers and drive business.
An APAC-wide online tool enables partners to manage all transactions, approvals and resources.
"Sun's business in Asia-Pacific is the result of an aligned and strategic partner model," said Lionel Lim, senior vice president, APAC Sun Microsystems.
"The investment in our partners has strongly contributed to Sun's growth and success in the marketplace.
“With the Partner Growth Fund, Sun will allocate approximately 70 percent of our investment in helping partners drive demand and boost volume growth, and around 30 percent in demonstration equipment,” Lim added.
PGF will fund demonstration equipment purchases and SPA program partners can showcase Sun technology and solutions to their customers.
The Demand Generation program claims partners can create customised marketing programs and campaigns and increase Sun's growth with windows based servers.
“These components of the Partner Growth Fund give Sun channel partners a comprehensive means for resourcing and driving joint demand generation campaigns,” said Sam Srinivasan, channel partner sales director A/NZ, Sun Microsystems.
"The benefits within the Partner Growth Fund program are exactly what we need to propel our business. Sun is a partner-focused company committed to helping partners like us expand our revenues," said John Poulter from distributor itX.
"The flexibility of the program enables us to easily break into new markets and acquire new customers to drive volume growth,” he added.
