Australian IT professional services company Avocado Consulting has appointed Steven Zacharidis to lead its complex transformation portfolio, supporting a growing pipeline of projects across government and corporate sectors.
Most recently, he held leadership roles at CPT Global and DXC Technology.
He joins Avocado during a period of momentum as clients seek not just operational stability, but guidance in modernising legacy systems and integrating AI-based solutions to navigate evolving technology and compliance landscapes.
Avocado Consulting CEO Gerardo Barranquero said the company is excited to welcome Zacharidis to the team at a time when government and corporate clients are seeking IT partners that can deliver with certainty across complex, highly visible projects.
“His leadership strengthens our ability to engage senior stakeholders, expand into larger transformation programs, and convert high-value opportunities," he said.
"With our pipeline of legacy modernisation and observability initiatives growing rapidly, Steven brings the experience and credibility needed to scale our impact across key markets.”
Zacharidis said what drew him to Avocado was its future-focused mindset.
"They’ve built a reputation for delivering real value, and they’re moving fast to meet demand for smart, AI-informed solutions that bridge legacy systems with emerging technologies," he said.
"Additionally, Avocado’s fierce client-focused approach appeals to how I perceive success in the marketplace - clients always come first. I’m excited to help extend that value across an even broader client base within a progressive IT consulting company,” says Steven Zacharidis.
His appointment strengthens Avocado’s growing leadership and technical bench which includes COO Jane Robinson and test automation practice lead Abitha Arunachalam, who joined in May.
