SpaceXAI, the AI offering from SpaceX, has named Australian digital consultancy Fabric Group as one of its first strategic partners in the Asia-Pacific and Japan (APJ) region, signing a multi-year agreement aimed at accelerating AI-assisted software development across enterprise organisations.

For Australian partners and their customers, the agreement brings a locally backed delivery capability for an AI coding platform that SpaceXAI said has seen strong organic adoption among individual developers in the region.

Fabric will invest in training and certifying its entire engineering workforce across the platform; the consultancy positions itself as technology agnostic, advising organisations on technology selection rather than representing a single vendor.

SpaceXAI said Australia was selected as one of the first countries outside the US for its channel partner programme due to the market's enterprise technology maturity.

"For one of our first regional partners we wanted an organisation that shared our vision for transforming software engineering, and Fabric's combination of deep technical capability and strategic consulting expertise offers that," said Simon Green, president for APJ at SpaceXAI.

"We see enormous opportunity across Australia because virtually every enterprise organisation today builds software in some form. Whether they're banks, retailers, manufacturers, healthcare providers or government agencies, software has become central to how organisations operate and compete."

Laurent Behan, chief executive of Fabric Group, said the partnership reflected both companies' focus on speed of delivery over drawn-out transformation programmes.

"SpaceXAI is moving at extraordinary speed, continuously innovating and challenging established thinking around software engineering, and that is exactly how Fabric operates," he said.
