Sophos has partnered with cyber resilience validation outfit Spektrum Labs to help organisations prove to insurers they have an effective cybersecurity posture.

Through the partnership, organisations can deploy Sophos’ Managed Detection and Response (MDR) service, integrating Spektrum’s Cyber Resilience platform with the Sophos Central console.

This aims to allow companies to prove the resillience of their cybersecurity program through cryptographic tokens that greenlight underwriting for insurers and provide information beyond what's received through an application.

According to Sophos, the partnership transforms security from “a set of controls [to] a measurable, continuously validated operating discipline.”

Sophos MSP partners also now have access to insurance options for their customers.

“Our customers count on Sophos MDR to stop attacks before they cause real damage,” said Chris Bell, SVP of global channels, alliances and corporate development at Sophos.

“By partnering with Spektrum, we take that a step further [by] delivering immediate, verifiable proof of insurance that reduces friction and accelerates trust with brokers, boards and underwriters."

J.J. Thompson, founder and chief executive of Spektrum Labs noted the agreement between the two companies establishes a standard of provable MDR effectiveness, along with automated resilience and direct insurance benefits.

“It aligns cybersecurity, cyber resilience and cyber insurance into one continuous system,” he said.
