Security vendor Sophos is shaking up its channel with the addition of two new distributors.
Local distributors Exclusive Networks and Bluechip Infotech will get their hands on Sophos’s range of next-gen firewall and endpoint security solutions.
Sophos is also distributed locally through Distribution Central.
The Bluechip Infotech partnership comes after the Sydney-headquartered distributor acquired the Cyberoam business MPA Systems in July 2015, adding 300 new resellers. That deal brought across MPA's former sales manager Matt Goodman, who now oversees Cyberoam and Sophos at Bluechip.
"We picked up the Cyberoam part of the business from MPA eight months ago in July. After that we had 90 percent of Cyperboarm's business in Australia," said Bluechip managing director Johnson Hsiung. Sophos followed in January, he added.
Exclusive Network’s managing director, Dominic Whitehand, said he was looking forward to the future of the partnership.
“Sophos is leading the way in network and end user security for the mid-market, and is a vendor that is always thinking one step ahead, as seen with Synchronized Security,” said Whitehand.
Cyberoam is also distributed through Connector Systems, which was acquired by Ingram Micro this week.
