SonicWall has launched a revised channel program four months after it dropped Ingram Micro as a distie and flagged the possibility of future changes.
The Customer Advantage Program, announced yesterday, has streamlined existing but segmented promotions into one unified program with two sub-sections across the entire product line.
Key features include, Secure Upgrade Plus, which offers an upgrade path from older products as well as a trade-in path from competitors' products.
Customers purchasing the minimum subscription of two years to services and support can save up to 50 percent on the total annual cost of that solution.
"The other program was lots of different programs," said Dean Redman, country manager for Australia and New Zealand at SonicWall.
"Upgrade Plus is expanded, it can be a SonicWall discontinued product in for an upgrade as well as competitive product," said Redman.
A further sub-section of the program is the Customer Loyalty Bundle, which rewards qualifying customers with preferred bundle pricing to those who deploy multiple SonicWall product lines.
For resellers and customers that participate in Secure Upgrade Plus, they can receive a discount of 30 percent off the recommended retail through the Customer Loyalty Bundle on other appliances included in an upgrade purchase.
"It basically builds the value of becoming a Sonicwall customers. If they do, we are then rewarding them with the [bundle offer] to look at our other solutions at the same time.
"We pass on savings to the users in return for a longer-term commitment from them, as well as adding new security solutions to the existing program," said Redman.
