Physical security software provider Genetec has appointed technology Sektor as its exclusive distribution partner in New Zealand, targeting growth across large and mid-market enterprises in both public and private sectors.
The Montreal-based company's physical security solutions include video management, access control and Automatic License Plate Recognition (ALPR) systems.
Sektor will manage Genetec hardware inventory, provide pricing in local currency and deliver supply chain and logistics services for the partnership.
The distributor will also support the local Return Merchandise Authorisation process for Genetec's internationally supplied hardware.
As part of the agreement, Sektor will establish a Genetec Technology Centre in Penrose, Auckland, offering partners and customers hands-on access to the company's technologies.
The centre will showcase video management, access control, licence plate recognition, security and communications management, and secure cloud services.
"We are very pleased and excited to be partnering with Genetec to further enhance the security of New Zealand communities and workplaces," Hayden Bowtell, general manager of Sektor, said.
Sektor is expanding its commercial and technical teams to support the partnership and drive adoption of physical security solutions nationwide.
"Genetec and Sektor share a strong focus on people and customer success, making this collaboration a natural fit," George Moawad, Genetec's country manager for Oceania said.
The distributor specialises in supplying professional security installers and integrators with video management, access control, networking and analytics solutions.
Genetec serves over 42,500 customers globally through an accredited channel partner network spanning 159 countries.
