SecureData wins vendor prize

Storage reseller and services provider SecureData Group (SDG) has won a Deal of the Year award for its Adidas implementation from one of its vendors, Veritas.

Data storage specialist Veritas presented SDG with the award at its recent Partner Summit at the Versace Plaza Hotel on Queensland's Gold Coast.

SDG won the award for its Veritas-based data storage package it provided to sports clothing maker Adidas Australia, the vendor said.

David Dzienciol, southern region manager at Veritas, said the prize recognised the strong partnership between Veritas and SDG and support that SDG consistently provided to Veritas customers.

'Veritas technical services partner, SDG has been involved in designing and implementing some of our most complex and successful enterprise projects with blue chip organisations,' he said.

Dzienciol claimed the Adidas implementation was 'the perfect example' of SDG's dedication to quality, commitment to support and superior technical capability.

Rich Telac, a network administrator for Adidas, said SDG had exhibited professionalism, flexibility, high service levels and given good advice. 'I spoke to all the major players, but only SDG inspired me with the confidence that they had the required skills and approach to do the job ... I really would rate their service ten out of ten,' Telac said.

Evan Penn, MD at SDG, said the Veritas and SDG, which calls itself an 'information availability company', had complementary abilities.

'Like Veritas, we take a whole of infrastructure approach, ensuring the continuous availability of mission-critical applications,' Penn said.
