SAP has appointed Nick Ashton as its new ANZ director for channel expansion, replacing John Smith.
Smith left the role in February after only six months on the job, joining enterprise robotic process automation software vendor BluePrism as senior partner alliances manager.
Ashton commenced his role in April 2019, joining from SAP subsidiary SuccessFactors, where he last served as partner business manager.
In his new role, Ashton is responsible for partner recruitment and activation for SAP Cloud Solutions across the vendor’s Australia and New Zealand partner ecosystem.
“Nick Ashton has been appointed to director of channel expansion, partners and channels, SAP ANZ,” an SAP spokesperson told CRN.
“In this role he will have a focus on making our recently recruited partners successful, as well as being responsible for recruiting new partners into the SAP ecosystem aligned to our strategic priorities.”
Ashton joined SAP SuccessFactors in 2014 as a business development consultant, after stints at Hitachi Data Systems, Xpand Group and Q Executive in various IT recruitment roles.
