After a brief three month stint, IT security guru Peter Sandilands has parted company with Fortinet.
Sandilands had been Australia and New Zealand country manager at the security product vendor since mid-February. "We agreed that it wasn't working and I needed to do something else," he said.
Prior to joining Fortinet, Sandilands was teaching networking and security at the University of Technology, Sydney which he is still doing today.
"I made a choice getting back into the workforce full-time and I'm keen to get back into it again," he said.
Sandilands has 27 years experience in the IT industry working for companies such as Check Point Software and Novell.
It is still unclear whether a replacement has been found for Sandilands. Leigh Costin, who was appointed as Fortinet's director of product marketing for Asia-Pacific in March, was unavailable for comment at press time.
