Telstra has given Samsung's Galaxy S5 a 'Blue Tick', reserved for phones that are capable of offering the best possible coverage experience on the Telstra network.
Other phones with the Blue Tick include Samsung's Galaxy S4 Mini, Nokia's Lumia 625 and the HTC One XL.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 was launched along with the Samsung Gear Fit and Samsung Gear Neo on Friday 11 April.
Telstra 4G coverage is available in more than 300 regional centres, according to the carrier.
"There's never been stronger interest from people living and visiting regional Australia for a smartphone that combines the latest 4G technology with superior handheld coverage performance," said director of Telstra Mobile, Andrew Volard.
