Rubrik joins Cisco's SolutionsPlus data security program

Data security and backup provider Rubrik is now included in Cisco's SolutionsPlus program, as part of its strategy to enhance cyber resilience for organisations worldwide.

Ghazal Asif Farhadi, vice president global channels, alliances, and inside sales at Rubrik, announced the addition to the SolutionsPlus program,

Farhadi said it means all of Rubrik's products, including its Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) offering, will now be added to Cisco's global price list.

A recent Rubrik Zero Labs report found that 66 per cent of IT and security leaders struggle to secure data and mitigate risk due to rapid data growth, with the challenge compounded by increasingly sophisticated cyberattacks targeting critical data for destruction, theft, or extortion.

As part of the SolutionsPlus programme, Cisco's direct and channel sales network can now offer Rubrik Security Cloud with Cisco Unified Computing Systems (UCS) and Cisco XDR.

This integration provides customers with a validated architecture to mitigate ransomware and ensure business continuity across edge, public, and private cloud environments.

Rubrik Security Cloud on Cisco UCS has been tested and pre-engineered with Cisco Validated Designs, offering automated deployment, multi-site scaling and lifecycle management through Cisco Intersight.

The integration with Cisco XDR aims to help enterprises quickly identify targeted attacks on data and facilitate secure recovery.

Jeremy Foster, senior vice president and general manager of Cisco Compute, said the partnership's focus is on addressing the visibility gaps created by complex, siloed systems.

"Cisco and Rubrik are delivering threat detection and data context in one place, enabling security teams to effectively prioritise critical attacks and respond to them quickly," he said.

The integration offers several key benefits, including improved identification of targeted data attacks, accelerated investigation and prioritisation of threats, streamlined security and IT operations for secure recovery, and improved total cost of ownership through simplified lifecycle management.
