Going through a distributor will be a first for US-based Riverbed, who despite being Australia for several users, sold direct to resellers.
Networld marketing director, Nick Verykios said the vendor operated in the same space as its former vendor Exinda Networks. However Riverbed sits as one of the market leaders in its space.
According to Networld CEO Scott Frew, Riverbed sits on the top right hand of Gartner’s Magic Quadrant, total opposite of Exinda Networks.
Frew said the vendor felt it didn’t have effectively enough feet on the streets, nor did it have the operations facility to expand their market.
