Intuit Technologies is in the running to win a share of $500,000 worth of prizes after being picked as a finalist in the Telstra Tasmanian Business Awards.
The Hobart-based services provider is a finalist in the medium business category, as one of 22 other finalists in the state.
Intuit was selected based on their financial performance as well as other factors relating to its sales and marketing, customers, team and planning.
Finalists need to present a profit and loss statement and interviews are conducted with staff and owners. Finalists join Telstra's Australian business awards network.
The winner of Telstra's Tasmania Business Award will be announced on 11 July, in a gala dinner at the Hotel Grand Chancellor Hobart.
Intuit Technologies was founded by Dane Bignell in 2003 in his parents' garage while studying at the University of Tasmania.
The company now has 70 staff, serving local and state governments, corporations and home users, as well as offices in Brisbane, Burnie, Hobart, and Launceston.
Intuit provides cloud services and is a warranty agent for Dell, Brother and Epson, among others. The company also provides financial services, IT services and hardware support, hardware sales and software support.
The company's partners include Canon, Dell, Cisco, EMC, Symantec, GBC, Telstra, Trend Micro, VMware, Microsoft, Veeam, Mitel and Ekahau.
Intuit Technologies has previously won the Dell Server Excellence Award 2013 and was an Extreme Networks Partner of the Year in 2013.
