Victoria-based distributor Region4 has announced a reshuffle in its vendor stable after the end of its Rimage relationship and the addition of Teac America.
Disc production hardware vendor Rimage will cease working with Region4 from the 1 April, but the distributor will continue to sell consumables for its equipment.
Region4 will distribute Teac America’s new range of disc publishing products, which incorporate a high resolution thermal optical disc printer, throughout Australia and New Zealand.
Callum Hingston, managing director of Region4 claimed the firm’s established sales and support channel throughout both Australia and New Zealand will immediately place Teac machines into many mission critical on demand and high volume markets.
“While we are ending one relationship to ensure a common direction, adding a supplier of Teac's quality to our existing range of vendors including Primera, evocept and R-Quest allows Region4 to meet the needs of any of the extremely diverse CD, DVD and BluRay disc production requirements,” added Hingston.
Les Luzar, senior vice-president of sales and marketing at Teac America, said: "We are excited about the opportunities Region4 can bring us given their intimate knowledge of the local markets gained over the last decade and their solid technical and sales abilities."
