Red Hat's managing director for Australia and New Zealand, Max McLaren, said the program has been well-received to date.
“By partnering with highly-skilled service providers, like Fujitsu, ICE Systems, Loftus IT and Surebridge IT, we can extend our scope of trained technology professionals with the capabilities to implement powerful open source solutions,” he said.
Red Hat’s service-oriented channel partners will be able to leverage new subcontracting opportunities after qualifying for Red Hat’s Global Professional Services scheme.
David Bullock, managing director of Loftus IT, one of the first partners to be signed in Australia, said the CSP program will present the company with a myriad of new growth opportunities.
“We’re consistently exploring new avenues for expanding our business. As a Red Hat CSP partner, we have the chance to build a self-sustaining open source service practice and leverage new opportunities for revenue and growth.”
Business partners will require two certified engineers on staff and access to a Red Hat demonstration lab to qualify.
