Readify wins four Microsoft Australia partner awards

Readify has won four Microsoft Australia Partner Awards, dominating a field that also saw UXC Eclipse, Ignia and Avanade go home with two gongs each.

The winners were announced this evening at the opening day of Microsoft's Australia Partner Conference on the Gold Coast.

Readify took home the Excellence in Customer Lifecycle Management, Excellence in Industry and Platform Innovation, and the Technology for Social Impact awards. The honours added to its Australia Country Partner of the Year crown awarded at the global conference earlier this year.

The system has been rolled out to nearly 150 schools in Queensland, but has the potential to be used more widely, Strange said. 

"Education departments right around the country can actually use the same code base if they want to. The first state of course is Queensland. They're the ones that have funded it. It's their vision," he told CRN. He credits David O'Hagan and Mark Hind at the Department of Education and Training in Queensland as the "visionaries" behind QParents.

Ignia also won an Excellence in Industry and Platform Innovation award, as well as the Excellence in Mobility and Devices honour. The Perth-headquartered company – currently ranked 22 in the CRN Fast50 – has expanded to the east in the past year, opening branches in Sydney and Melbourne.

Microsoft Dynamics specialist UXC Eclipse nabbed the Excellence in Enterprise Social and the Excellence in Marketing awards. Publicly listed UXC has been in the headlines for its booming software arm, involving both Microsoft and Oracle technologies, and a glamourous new Sydney office.

Multinational consulting firm Avanade scored the Excellence in Cloud Customer Relationship Management and Excellence in Cloud Platform awards. The 25,000-staff company, founded in 2000 as a joint venture between Microsoft and Accenture, was also mentioned in the new Winning Together award given to Sitecore Australia's partnership with Avanade, Accenture and Tata.

“These are really tightly contested awards and each of the winners should feel incredibly proud of their achievements," said Microsoft Australia managing director Pip Marlow. "Microsoft and its partners' success is completely intertwined."

Microsoft global partner award winner Kloud Solutions backed up on the Gold Coast, winning the Excellence in Cloud Productivity category. BizData, the third Australian company that scored a worldwide award, did not feature among the MAPA winners.
