Queensland Ambulance Service issues RFQ for fleet management services

Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) has issued a request for quote seeking information regarding fleet management solutions, managed fleet services and supporting implementation, transition and organisational change capabilities.

The RFQ is being undertaken as a market capability and market sounding activity to inform QAS’ understanding of the solutions, services and delivery models currently available within the market, with the aim of supporting market analysis, capability assessment and future procurement planning activities.

QAS operates from more than 300 response locations across the state and maintains a large and diverse fleet supporting frontline service delivery, patient transport, operational response and specialist service requirements.

QAS currently utilises a managed fleet service and supporting fleet management solution to support the administration, maintenance and operational management of its fleet.

The ambulance service said effective fleet management, as well as supporting technology platforms and associated services, are critical to maintaining operational readiness, vehicle availability, compliance safety and service continuity across its operations.

As rationale for the RFQ, QAS stated that as technology capabilities, service delivery models and operational requirements continue to evolve, it is aiming to better understand contemporary approaches available within the market to support future fleet management requirements.

As a result, QAS is interested in understanding integrated solution offerings that combine technology, managed services and organisational capability to support the establishment, operation and continuous improvement of fleet management outcomes across a complex operational environment.

The RFQ closes at 5:00PM on July 16.
