QPC buys Melbourne voice and data services firm HyperSpike

UK-headquartered call centre solutions provider QPC has announced the acquisition of Melbourne-based telecommunications provider HyperSpike for an undisclosed sum.

Founded in 1997, HyperSpike offers voice and data services that utilise wholesale arrangements with Australian carriers and cloud exchanges.

The firm also provides data centre services covering software-as-a-service and infrastructure-as-a-surface, in addition to managed IT services.

HyperSpike has been a long term partner of QPC, with the two companies having previously delivered joint multi-carrier voice and network services.

QPC said the acquisition is crucial in its bid to extend and enhance its customer experience solution suite, which includes enterprise communication platforms Genesys Cloud Voice and Operator Connect.

“We are thrilled to welcome HyperSpike to the QPC Australia family and excited by the opportunity to increase our ability to deliver highly redundant and resilient business-critical voice services that our customers rely on every day,” said Peter Levine, commercial director at QPC.

QPC, whose Asia Pacific operations are based in Melbourne, took home the APAC migration partner of the year award at contact centre vendor Genesys' 2022 partner awards.

The company was named Genesys APAC partner of the year in 2020.

That year, QPC deployed Genesys Cloud at Beyond Bank to help its call centre staff work remotely.
