Specialist SAP service provider Plaut IT has acquired Malaysia-based Baseliner, adding offshore SAP capability to its local operation.
Plaut chief executive Sebastian Moore told CRN the deal had been in the works for close to two years.
“An acquisition was something we were looking at, to give us access to more resources, as well as the ability to move into South East Asia.”
The deal, for an undisclosed sum, gives Plaut, which is based in Northern Sydney and employs 150 SAP specialists, further leverage of some SAP business processes and practices, Moore said. “We can also share learning and experience across two organisations and we get to share in the intellectual property generated."
Baseliner is an SAP service partner for South East Asia and its primary focus is providing SAP Application Management Support as well as specialising in Basis, BI, CRM, and ABAP project-related services. The company will run independently and be led by its KL based Managing Director, Charles Sigmon.
Plaut IT counts organisations such as ANSTO, Air Services Australia and DIAC among its customers.
