Communications accessories outfit Plantronics has terminated Siemens Australia as a distributor of its products.
The 25-year distribution relationship officially ends on 6 November, Graeme Gherbaz, managing director at Plantronics told CRN on Friday morning.
“We no longer feel that our businesses are aligned. We don’t feel we have necessarily the same focus,” Gherbaz said.
Siemens had access to Plantronics’ range of enterprise headset and other telephony products.
The move follows Plantronics’ announcement in January that it had appointed Anixter as a distributor of its enterprise products.
Anixter is carrying the company’s range of contact centre, VoIP and mobile headsets. ATD Technologies also distributes Platronics’ products to enterprise customers.
Anyware Computer Accessories and Roadhound cover the retail market, said Gherbaz.
A Siemens representative could not be reached for comment at press time.
