Pioneer Computers Australia has signed up with Ricoh Australia to promote the Ricoh range of laser printers and gel printer products.
Jeff Li managing director at Pioneer Computers said at present Ricoh are starting to break into the channel market in both NSW and VIC, however its approach could be more effective than most.
“Working with only a limited number of partners gives those lucky few a unique and large product range offering to their clients and towards tenders. Not only are the Ricoh brand products excellent technologically, they are competitive in pricing and margins for the channel,” he said.
Li said he saw this as an opportunity for to make great margins because of the structure of the direct relationship.
“We see this as an opportunity to present a competitive advantage to our client base and also keep the ongoing revenue of consumables and service as the toner will not be widely available through retailers and companies only interested in (heavily discounted) consumables,” he said.
