Identity management vendor Ping Identity has appointed its first APAC channel chief.
The company announced that Ashley Diffey had been named the company's channel and alliance manager for Asia-Pacific, based in Melbourne.
The role will have Diffey responsible for managing channel organisations in the region and supporting partner marketing strategies and sales.
Ping has some 10 partners in Australia and New Zealand, including Versent, KPMG, Unify Solutions and Dimension Data.
The executive joins from Venn Solutions, where he was general manager for Victoria. Prior to that Diffey was at F5 Networks managing the networking vendor's relationship with Telstra and overseeing the company's southern channel.
Diffey has also worked for Commvault in a number of roles including director of channel sales for Australia and New Zealand.
Diffey joins the company as it grows its regional headcount.
“It’s great to be joining Ping Identity at a time when the identity and access management market is taking off and we can further enable our consulting partners with the deep technical experience they require for customer digital transformation success,” Diffey said.
“We have a great opportunity to support partners with the combination of specialist skills, market leading solutions and clear differentiation in key market segments, and I look forward to developing and driving our partner relationships in supporting customer value.”
Ping Identity APAC regional director Geoff Andrews welcomed Diffey's channel experience.
"Ashley has a background of contributing to and building successful channel engagements," he said.
"He joins Ping Identity at a significant time in our strategy to expand the market footprint of our identity and access management solutions. At the same time, his considerable experience and industry skills will support our partners in creating market momentum and winning relationships with their customers."
