Last year's number 10 on the CRN Fast50, Thinkin' IT, has landed a contract in mainland China that could be worth up to a million dollars a year.

Managing director Keenan Haigh told CRN the five-year deal, initially to manage 250 screens and computers, will contribute to the young company's development.

"It has the ability to be over a million dollar contract a year," he said, adding that Thinkin' IT is in the midst of a growth spurt.

"We're getting new clients so often. They're not spending as much on infrastructure; they're spending on making what they already have work."

In 2012, the three-year-old company placed 10th in the CRN Fast 50, experiencing 66 percent year-on-year growth to hit $1.28 million in revenue. Now the managed services company is looking for new international markets in an effort to sustain its momentum.

"We're looking where else we can roll out remote services to as well."

Haigh said the company is also looking at Bali as a potential new market, starting with a philanthropic effort.

"Next month we fly to Bali to fit out an orphanage with computers."

Thinkin' IT is just one of many Perth-based IT companies seeing surging growth. Service integrator DBSIT generates most of its revenue from the region's mining, oil and gas, while ASG has garnered almost $100m in contracts in four months, most of which is also from the region.
