Oracle buys IP from Melbourne partner

Oracle has bought the environmental reporting tool from Melbourne-headquartered partner Ndevr. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

The tool was created for organisations to provide energy and emissions reporting and adds environmental reporting and business intelligence capabilities to Oracle's ERP Solutions.

Oracle expected to deliver an “improved ability” to accurately model, capture, cost, analyse and report on carbon and environmental data.

Since 2008, Ndevr has provided greenhouse gas and environmental solutions for Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and Oracle E-Business Suite customers.

Ndevr chief executive Maureen Clifford was unavailable for comment.
