Optus enters marketing deal with Aussie software company Simble Solutions

Optus has partnered with Aussie software company Simble Solutions to market the Simble Energy Platform to its business and government customers, following a recently completed trial.

Simble, which listed on the ASX in February, provides energy management and mobility solutions. Its Simble Energy Platform provides real-time energy visualisation and analytics designed to enable businesses to reduce their energy consumption.

“Optus is driving innovation for its customers by acting as a trusted technology advisor,” Optus manager of application services Trevor Manokore said.

“Energy management is a major pain point across our customer base and we are excited by the energy savings and efficiency gains we can offer to customers via the Simble Energy Platform.”

Both companies are set to commence marketing and promotional activities for the platform, extending to Optus’ commercial, government and small-to-medium enterprise customer base.

Briefing sessions between the two companies have started, with Simble also expanding internal support capabilities to account for its expected increase in customer numbers.

“I am delighted that Optus will be reselling the Simble Energy Platform to underscore its push into value-added technologies. The successful trial is a major validation of the market opportunity and recent R&D investments we have made into the Simble Energy Platform,” Simble chief executive Fadi Geha said.

“Having built this partnership over the past five years, the Simble Energy Platform represents the first truly scalable solution we have delivered to Optus, hence we are excited by the growth opportunity it presents.”

Simble also develops white label mobile applications and is initially targeting Australian and UK markets, with offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland, London, Dubai and Da Nang.
