Okta channel boss Reno Maglitto departs for Netskope

Okta’s director of channel alliances and ISV for Asia-Pacific Reno Maglitto has left the security vendor to join software provider Netskope.

Maglitto will be serving as Netskope’s regional channel and alliance manager for Asia-Pacific effective this month, and will be reporting to Netskope regional sales director for Asia-Pacific Tony Burnside.

“Okta thanks Reno for his work on Okta’s channel market and we wish him all the best in his new role,” Okta vice president of Asia-Pacific Graham Pearson told CRN.

“Okta remains focused on expanding our channel market throughout ANZ and Asia this year, which will be led by our newest appointment, Scott Monro, Channel Sales Manager APAC.”

Maglitto served as director of channel alliances and ISVs since June 2016, and was the first to hold the position. Prior to that, he held various channel and sales posts with IBM, RSA, and Oracle.

Maglitto told CRN that his decision to join Netskope was hinged on the relatively low client maturity and penetration levels of cloud access security brokers in the Asia-Pacific region, and that the company was a market leader.

“Having spent almost 15 years doing identity and access management, I saw the move as an opportunity to transition into a new and emerging cybersecurity sector and be a part of an expanding pre-IPO company and work in a leadership role,” he said.

“I’m also looking to leverage my relationships in the APAC channel across all ecosystems of partner types — resellers, ISV Alliance partners, global systems integrators, MSPs and distributors.”

Maglitto said that part of his role is to ensure that Netskope has sufficient partners to cater for the emerging opportunity across the region, also making sure that partners have “the right capability, capacity and executive plans in place to execute as a reseller and system integrator.”

“I will also be helping our channel with marketing and demand generation activity, as well as managing our technology alliance partners, which include Box, AWS, Okta, Google, Carbon Black & Microsoft,” he said.

“My ultimate goal is to get our APAC Channel to a point where they are autonomously transacting 100 percent of Netskope’s revenue and performing the systems integration work that comes with it.”

Netskope provides cloud security through the ability of finding understand, and securing sanctioned and unsanctioned cloud apps.

It was founded in 2012 and is headquartered in Los Altos in California, with offices in Australia, the United Kingdom and India.
