Oakton is kicking goals locally and overseas, with a high-profile Oracle rollout in Victoria and a significant expansion of its development centre in Hyderabad, India.
The publicly listed integrator has implemented Oracle Service Cloud to support of Victoria University’s online student admissions process.
The University has already processed more than 1000 applications since going live with Oakton’s solution on 22 November.
The new solution offers Victoria University improved efficiencies and allows the students to work through the application process on their own preferred device. It also allows them to track the status of their application throughout the assessment cycle.
This self-service approach results in faster selection outcomes, which are seen as a key benefit for both the students and administrators, according to Oakton.
“The great thing about being able to apply online is that it makes it easy and stress free for the students,” said Brooke Young, vice-president, marketing and advancement, Victoria University.
Oracle Service Cloud combines web, social and contact centre experience and Oakton also provided a web-based interactive questionnaire to help students streamline their application process and determine their eligibility.
Oakton chief executive Neil Wilson said: “Automating the university application process has made the experience a lot less painful for students and more seamless and efficient for Victoria University.
"With the help of our partner, Oracle, we have implemented a fantastic cross-channel solution that has multiple benefits for every stakeholder,” added Wilson.
Oakton is also expanding is offshore footprint. The company currently has almost 300 overseas staff is set to approach 400.
It employs 284 workers offshore with another 96 open positions of which a third currently have offers out.
