Nuix, a provider of information management technologies, has launched the Nuix OEM Program, an initiative to make it easier for software developers and service providers to build their own products and workflows around the Nuix Engine.
Throughout 2014, Nuix will release software development kits and other resources to assist third-party developers.
“We have seen huge demand from customers and partners seeking to incorporate the Nuix Engine’s unique and powerful capabilities into their applications and workflows, and we want to make it easy for them,” said Eddie Sheehy, CEO of Nuix.
In the second quarter of 2014, Nuix will publicly release the Nuix API, which enables Java applications to access virtually all the functions of the Nuix Engine. Later in the year, the company will release the Nuix RESTful API that exposes the essential elements of the Nuix Engine API through a simple, remotely accessible interface.
Nuix will release each API with a software development kit including complete documentation and examples, and provide a developer community space. The company has also established a team of integration services engineers to support customers’ and partners’ implementation needs.
“The Nuix Engine could be applied to any task where you need to turn human-generated data into human-usable insight,” said Sheehy.
“The possibilities are endless, but include enterprise and cloud search, cyber security, privacy, eDiscovery, investigations, information lifecycle management, records management, content management, market and consumer research, and data migration.”
