Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN) is looking to procure an integrated, community-based digital health record and telehealth solution.
The requirements are for a digital community healthcare management platform to deliver a program that will support an integrated approach to the realisation of the benefits of in-home care and hospital avoidance programs.
The requirements of the patient digital home monitoring solution incorporate live and remote monitoring of patients utilising platform agnostic smart devices and biomedical equipment; the provision of an in-community electronic medical records (EMR) and patient administration system (PAS); an interactive referral management tool; and the provision for remote telehealth and virtual consultations, inclusive of group programs and patient-centric interface.
The solution must also be capable of integration with existing systems and data infrastructure, such as the current state-based system of Sunrise EMR & PAS; include clinical alerts associated with remote home monitoring of at-risk patients; include appointment scheduling capability, across multiple providers/group programs; and be scalable with the capacity to manage a minimum of 20,000 plus transactions daily.
The solution must include data analytics capabilities/clinical data collection, including an in-built report builder and dashboard builder; a documented RESTful API suitable for bulk data extraction, and as a data source for data warehousing and downstream reporting and analytics; capability for two-way secure messaging (e.g., HL7, FHIR); capability for integration/interoperability with NALHN's digital ecosystem via health information broker, API, webhook or similar technologies; and technical resourcing to accurately migrate all patient and clinical data from existing/legacy applications to the new solution.
It is anticipated that the contract will be awarded in May 2026.
It is anticipated the contract will operate for a term of up to five years, with an initial contract base term of three years and two contract extensions of one year each
The platform will initially be utilised within NALHN, however subject to demonstration of successful outcomes and future approvals, there may be potential to vary and extend the health networks or facilities using the platform via an Enterprise Agreement.
NALHN operates services across Northern Adelaide and includes both the Modbury Hospital and the Lyell McEwin Hospital.
The tender closes at 3:00pm on 1 September 2025.
