Quentin Long, a solutions engineer at the New Zealand-based company Fronde, has won a global Paessler competition by creating a dashboard for AWS users.
Long won the award for his use of the PRTG dashboard to offer a visually appealing display for Fronde's businesses partners which include Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Alongside the prestige that comes with winning the award, Long has also walked away with a Google Nexus 5.
Paessler praised Long's design because it "ensures its customers see the AWS environment as if it was part of their local data centre".
"The unique design details all its customers' servers, load balancers, data feeds, and remote connectivity, with unique logins for each customer."
Paessler, who recently announced a 50 percent increase in sales in Australia and New Zealand for 2013, launched the "My PRTG Dashboard" competition earlier this year.
The award was open to entrants from across the world and can be entered by those with both freeware and commercial licenses of the software.
The competition is set to last from February to April this year with two winners still to be announced.
