New Horizons names DDLS new Australian partner

US tech training concern New Horizons Computer Learning Centres (New Horizons) has picked DDLS as its new Australian partner.

As reported yesterday by CRN, New Horizons’ previous Australian partner fell into liquidation and its assets and staff were acquired by NextTech Institute. NextTech also told CRN it had entered negotiations with New Horizons to become its Australian partner, but that a deal could not be done.

No such fate befell talks between New Horizons and DDLS, as the pair today announced they “have begun to combine efforts to serve the Australian market with the latest in technology, cybersecurity, process management, and professional development courses.”

A prepared statement from DDLS featured New Horizons CEO Mikell Parsch declaring “DDLS is widely known and highly respected in Australia, which makes them a perfect complement to New Horizons Worldwide list of partners.”

He added “The timing of this partnership is ideal because we have identified Australia as a primary growth target for New Horizons.”

DDLS CEO Jon Lang’s canned quote says he is “… excited about this partnership, which further underlines our commitment to provide high-quality training with flexible modalities, industry-accredited trainers and state of-the-art course material.”

“Our understanding of the region, combined with New Horizons Worldwide global network, in addition to our combined product portfolio and vendor network, will provide an unparalleled service in Australia and the region," Lang added.

There’s clearly still some work to do to make the announcement real: at the time of writing, newhorizons.com/australia offered only a form asking “Do you have questions or require support regarding the recent changes announced regarding New Horizons Australia?”
