Samantha Maher, AUCLOUD

ASX listed sovereign cyber security and cloud services provider AUCloud has appointed Samantha Maher as its head of government relations.

Maher brings over 30 years of experience in government relations, public policy, issues management, and strategic communications to the role.

She has made significant contributions to several Federal Government committees, including the DEWR and DoE National Skills Passport Roundtable in 2024.

Maher also contributed to the Senate Finance and Public Administration Reference Committee Inquiry on sovereign capability in the Australian tech sector (2023-2024), and participated in procurement roundtables with Senator David Pocock and Minister Katy Gallagher in 2023 and 2024.

In addition to her new role at AUCloud, Maher serves on several peak industry committees and is the founder and non-executive director of GovTech Australia.

"The appointment of Sam as the Head of Government Relations strengthens AUCloud's Federal Government engagement," Peter Maloney, chief executive and managing director of AUCloud said.

"Her role will be pivotal to advancing our continued collaboration with Government, ensuring that we remain at the forefront of the current legislative reform focused on hardening Australia's sovereign capabilities with robust cloud and cyber security solutions." Maloney added.

The company's services are underpinned by various security certifications, including "Certified Strategic" on the Digital Transformation Agency's (DTA) Hosting Certification Framework.

AUCloud recently opened new offices in Brisbane's Fortitude Valley.
