Salto has introduced three new access control technologies for the Australian market, featuring facial recognition, a smartphone-based intercom system and an integrated PIN-code smart lock solution.
The global access security technology provider's new offerings are aimed at businesses and residential properties managing entry and security through keyless systems.
Salto Orion, the company's facial recognition system, provides frictionless door unlocking by using the user's face as a unique access credential.
Users can gain access by simply approaching the door and looking at the Orion-C camera, eliminating the need for physical keys or keycards.
"With Salto Orion, we're putting the user experience front and centre for a faster, safer, more convenient, and private keyless door access experience," Caine Hillier, general manager for Salto Oceania, said.
The company has also launched the cloud-based platform XS4 Com, its first venture into the smart intercom space.
"XS4 Com represents a significant advancement in visitor management and access control. It is a user-friendly system that enables visitors to initiate communication with users by simply scanning a QR code or tapping their NFC-enabled phone on an iGO plate," Hillier said.
The intercom system features two-way audio and video verification, allowing residents to manage interactions directly from their smartphone, with the ability to accept calls, visually verify visitors, and remotely grant access.
Unlike traditional intercom systems, XS4 Com does not rely on power or internet connection, solving complexity and cost issues typical of conventional solutions.
Salto's third new offering is the XS4 One S Keypad, an advanced smart locking solution with integrated PIN-code access control that combines credential technology with PIN code management.
