Queensland distributor NetOpt has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with US-based software vendor StompSoft.
Under the agreement NetOpt will distribute StompSoft’s whole range of data recovery products, including Recover Lost Data, DriveWasher, Digital File Shredder Pro, Registry Repair, Digital Vault and Portable Vault to the A/NZ region.
Rick Nand, business development manager of NetOpt said StompSoft’s products will help to fill gaps in its existing security portfolio.
“This deal takes us into the PC back up and data recovery market. We want our resellers to focus the products on the small business and consumer market," he said.
As part of the agreement, NetOpt will also go on a hunt for more resellers.
Nand said around 20 resellers have so far signed up to distribute the StompSoft’s portfolio and the distributor was looking for more.
“Our reseller target for the StompSoft portfolio is 80 partners, across all states and territories. All resellers will have their own territory to minimise the competition,” he said.
The distributor will also be releasing a new point-based incentive scheme for its resellers in February 2007.
NetOpt resellers must reach a certain number of points before they will be able to receive discounts off products they purchase from the distributor.
The yet-to-be finalised scheme will also be open to StompSoft resellers, said Nand.
