Mobile device management vendor MobileIron has appointed Tass Melissinos as its new country manager for Australia and New Zealand.
Melissinos replaces Henry LaMotta, who departed in August to become ANZ country manager of Menlo Security. He joins from CA Technologies, where he was vice president of API management solutions for Asia-Pacific and Japan for close to two years.
“Tass brings significant sales leadership experience to his new role at MobileIron and I expect him to have a big impact on our business here in Australia and New Zealand,” MobileIron vice president of sales for Asia-Pacific Frederic Gillant said.
“I’m looking forward to working closely with Tass as a key member of our APAC leadership team.”
Melissinos is responsible for the vendor’s overall strategy, business operations and revenues for the region, working with key clients and partners and managing the company’s presence in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra and Brisbane.
Prior to joining CA in 2017, he also worked in a number of senior APJ roles for Tibco Software and Intel, and also worked at IBM for 21 years in a variety of sales roles.
Last year, MobileIron hired its first ANZ channel manager, Rose Old, who held the same role with Acronis prior to joining the company.
