Mitel has expanded into Western Australia, appointing industry veteran Nedi Nheu to head its new Perth office.
Gwilym Funnell, managing director at Mitel, said the market opportunity for Mitel in WA and Southern Australia is vast, as IP telephony for five to 50 extensions are currently the most popular business phone systems for these regions.
Nheu’s is reponsible for Mitel’s activities in Western Australia, Southern Australia and the Northern Territory. He has previously held senior management positions at Alcatel, Newbridge Networks, and Singtel Optus.
As part of Mitel’s expansion into these markets, Era Communications, Anything Telephones, and Boileau Business Solutions have all achieved Mitel Gold accreditation levels in the global Mitel Solution Provider program.
Previously, channel partners in place operated were supported by Mitel staff in Melbourne and Sydney.
