Mitel will offer resellers 60 percent off the list price for a "starter package" of its base unified communications server and five desktop licenses after releasing enhancements to the product today.
Additional desktop licenses above the five included in the starter pack were charged at standard rates.
National sales manager Colin Macdougall told CRN the product enhancements extended its Series X unified communications initiative.
New functionality included the ability to link up to eight devices to a single user identity and seamlessly hand off calls between the devices.
Users could manage their up to eight devices through a central unified communications client. A web version was also available to enable users to alter their dynamic extension configurations on-the-move, according to Macdougall.
"By linking all these devices into a dynamic extension group I have complete telephony control," he said.
Mitel products are distributed by Telstra Business Systems and 2/47 Distribution. Macdougall said about 80 resellers sat under the distribution channel, as well as one other which has a direct relationship with Mitel, 3D Networks.
Macdougall said he believed the opportunities for partners to resell the enhanced product were "significant".
"Any organisation that relies heavily on collaboration and interaction between staff and external parties, any organisation with a mobile workforce could benefit from having this single number contactability," he said.
