Mimecast ANZ channel director Rema Lolas has departed the email and data security vendor after just over the year in the role.
Mimecast ANZ country manager Nick Lennon told CRN that Lolas stepped down from the role to "explore personal opportunities to live and work overseas."
Lennon added the vendor is undergoing recruitment processes to find a new channel director, as well as a number of channel roles. Lennon will take over channel responsibilities in the meantime, along with the broader channel team.
"As the first dedicated channel director in ANZ, Rema played a key role in helping Mimecast to launch a new partner program which brought uniformity to how the company works with its partners globally and deliver on its 100 per cent focus on the channel," Lennon told CRN.
"Rema was instrumental in launching Mimecast’s global partner-program locally and has significantly grown the local channel business in Australia and New Zealand. Mimecast is currently working to fill the channel leadership position with the Partner Account Management team managing ongoing programs in the interim."
Lolas joined Mimecast in February 2018, following stints at Dell EMC and Citrix holding various sales and management roles.
