Microsoft partners with Delinea for secure human and machine ID

Delinea has joined forces with Microsoft to ensure continued access to advanced cloud security capabilities for customers affected by the planned retirement of Microsoft Entra Permissions Management.

The partnership will help enterprises maintain robust identity security across multi-cloud environments as Microsoft phases out its service, scheduled for retirement on 1 October 2025.

Delinea's Privilege Control for Cloud Entitlements (PCCE) solution will serve as the recommended alternative, providing security for both human and machine identities across Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, and Google Cloud Platform.

"The introduction of AI has led to an explosion of human and machine identities at a time when public cloud environments are growing increasingly complex," Art Gilliland, chief executive of Delinea, said.

The two companies have established dedicated transition teams to guide customers through the migration process with minimal disruption.

Delinea's PCCE technology enables organisations to identify anomalous behaviour, refactor privileges, and reduce risks associated with overprivileged identities through continuous discovery and AI-enabled analytics.

"As we are planning for the retirement of Microsoft Entra Permissions Management, Microsoft is committed to supporting every customer with a seamless transition that minimises disruption," Joseph Dadzie, vice president of product management at Microsoft, said.

The collaboration builds on an existing relationship between the companies, focused on delivering integrated security solutions that manage identities across complex cloud environments.

Delinea's solution provides IT administrators with enhanced visibility into cloud and identity usage to implement least privilege principles effectively.
