Microsoft introduces Copilot specialisation for partners

Microsoft has introduced a specialisation for partners to demonstrate their experience and skills related to Microsoft 365 Copilot, including Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat, Microsoft Copilot Studio, and agents.

Microsoft says partners with this Copilot specialisation can help their customers explore AI Advisory Services for Microsoft Copilot, adopt Copilot, deliver data security and deployment and enable extensibility with agentic focus.

To earn the specialisation, partners must first attain one of three Solutions Partner designations: Business Applications, Modern Work, and/or Security.

An organisation’s Copilot specialisation will remain active for one year, after which point partners can renew it, provided they meet the requirements at that time.

Performance requirements for gaining the specialisation include 1,000 monthly active users growth of Copilot in the trailing 12 months, as well as five net customer growth for Copilot in the trailing 12 months.

Skilling requirements include five people with the MS-102 certification and five people with, cumulatively, the SC-401 certification or the APL-4002 certification, as well as five people with the APL-7008 certification.

Partners must also provide three customer references, which must include at least one example of transforming business processes with agent implementation.
