Microsoft awards top Aussie partners

Microsoft named its partners of the years at its channel shindig at the Gold Coast.

The Microsoft Australia Partner Awards acknowledge those who successfully deployed Microsoft solutions to address customer needs. Winners were chosen from a field of 300 nominated partners in 20 categories.

Data#3 scored the most gongs winning the large account, deskop and and server platform partner categories and was beaten out by Jasco for business productivity partner of the year.

Dimension Data was enterprise partner of the year, picking up the award each year since its introduction in 2009.

Distributor partner of the year was NewLease with Express data and Synnex runners up.

Other winners were Melbourne's Kiandra which won software developer of the year for an application it wrote for the Victorian Department of Sustainability; Jasco was runner up.

And Calvert Technologies pipped Anittel to win small business partner of the year.
