Melbourne IT CFO resigns
Peter Findlay

Melbourne IT chief financial officer Peter Findlay has left the company after receiving an "exciting offer".

The IT provider praised Findlay's contribution to the company throughout a period of significant change.

It is not yet clear where Findlay intends to work next.

Findlay joined Melbourne IT in October 2011 and was part of the changes the company went through that led to the sale of Digital Brand Services in March 2013 for $152.5 million and For the Record in August 2013 for $6.3 million.

Following the business sell-offs, former chief executive Theo Hnarakis left the company in a restructure aimed at saving $6.5 million in costs. In this period, Findlay took over the CEO position until Martin Mercer was appointed in April 2014.

Findlay will resign his duties on 20 January 2017. Melbourne IT has started the search for a replacement.

Melbourne IT posted a 23 percent revenue growth in the first half of 2016, recording a total revenue of $85 million for that period.

The IT provider is also on the process of consolidating three data centres into one, following the acquisitions of Netregistry in 2014, Uber Global and Outware Systems in 2015, and InfoReady in 2016.
