Barry Cogen, a partner at McGrathNicol, told CRN that the store has been put into receivership. He said: “We are the receivers of the store however we can make no comments about the situation and all media enquiries are to be directed to Apple Media."
CRN first reported The Academy Store was in the process of changing ownership on the 5 May.
At the time, The Academy Store was set to have new owners with previous managing director, Ben Morgan, no longer on board.
An employee at The Academy Store confirmed with CRN that Morgan was no longer working there and that the process of finding new owners was underway.
