McAfee has appointed Adam Boreham as its new channel director for Australia and New Zealand.
Boreham was previously channel account manager for McAfee, having joined the security vendor in January 2016. He has also worked as a channel account manager for Aruba, Avaya and as a product and sales manager for VExpress Distribution.
He replaces former ANZ channel director Luke Power, who left McAfee in June to take the regional manager role for New South Wales at Cisco.
In his new role, Boreham will be responsible for McAfee's partnerships and alliances in the region. Boreham told CRN he would focus on driving partner profitability, investment into the channel and further developing partner capabilities.
"A priority for me right now, being new to the role, is to engage and listen to our partner community about ways we can align and deliver incremental value to them and the end-user customers together we serve," he said.
"The McAfee story is evolving quickly, we continue to invest in key areas including cloud, endpoint, threat intelligence, etc. to meet the changing needs of our customers. Accordingly, we’re consistently reviewing the paths and partnerships to market that will assist McAfee to deliver evolving information security requirements."
McAfee has undergone a facelift this year, having split off from Intel in April. The former Intel Security is now a US$2 billion standalone security vendor, with 51 percent ownership belonging to investment firm TPG Capital. The vendor was sold to Intel in 2010 for US$7.7 billion and subsequently renamed to Intel Security.
