Masterchef dishes up an IT provider

Husband Michael Goodwin is managing director of Loyal IT Solutions, where the reality show contestant worked as director of sales and marketing.

Michael Goodwin told CRN in an interview he was "very excited" about his wife being one of the final two contestants left on the high-rating cooking show.

"It was very hard being separated from her while she was doing the show," he said.

Goodwin also said Loyal IT Solutions had seen steady growth of the business since it started in 2002.

He has been in the IT industry for 17 years and has previously worked for Telstra, Swiss Banking Corporation, Rothschild Australia, MTG Consulting (Midas Technology Group) and Absolute Business Systems.

Goodwin said local businesses, including Gosford City Council and Parkwood Homes, had been "loyal to the company".

"We haven't noticed any of the tough times being experienced by other organisations in the industry,"he said.

"We are very much focused on service and box moving is secondary to the business.

"Every company relies on technology to continue to do business, so we make sure we tell our clients to service their IT systems every three to four years. It's better to turn it over before it breaks."

Goodwin wasn't able to give CRN a hint as to whether his wife won the cook off against finalist Poh Ling Yeow in the taping of the last show on 2nd of July. The episode won't be shown until Sunday night.

Will you remain true to the channel and support Julie Goodwin? Or are you a fan of Poh?
