Marketo's ANZ managing director Bill Binch has left the local operations of the marketing software and solutions provider, returning to the United States after choosing not to renew his contract.
A Marketo spokesperson said: "Bill Binch was a foundational member of the Marketo global leadership team and was charged with using his extensive expertise to take the ANZ business to the next level.
"Having completed his contract and setting ANZ up for continued success, Bill and his family have moved back home to the United States. Marketo will announce a permanent local leader of ANZ in the coming months."
The company put up a job listing on LinkedIn looking to fill the vacancy, seeking candidates with a sales background in a global software-as-a-service (SaaS) company similar to Marketo.
Binch was appointed to the role in September 2016, serving for a little over a year to help set up the ANZ business.
He previously served as Marketo’s executive vice president of worldwide sales, based in the company's San Mateo, California headquarters.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Binch currently serves as an advisory board member for US-based artificial intelligence software startup Conversica.
He also was a member of Marketo Japan’s board of directors from 2014 until leaving the managing director role.
Binch also held a number of board positions in companies across the US since 2013, and held executive positions in Avolent, Oracle and Oracle acquisitions PeopleSoft and BEA Systems.
