Security software vendor Malwarebytes has appointed Dani Ferguson as its ANZ channel account manager for managed services providers.
Ferguson was brought on board to support the vendor’s MSP program, and is responsible for the recruitment and onboarding of new partners as Malwarebytes looks to expand the program.
Malwarebytes said the hire came as a result of the success of the MSP program locally, with 100 percent year-over-year growth coming into the program’s second year. The vendor said it now boasts 65 partners in the ANZ region, including Brisbane-based Sentrian and New Zealand-based Optimus Systems.
“We are thrilled to welcome Dani Ferguson to the Malwarebytes team,” channel director Vikas Uberoy said.
“She joins at a very exciting time for the Malwarebytes business, with our MSP program achieving exponential growth over the past twelve months. We are confident that with Dani’s support we will continue to identify new opportunities to support our existing partners and bring new MSPs into the program.”
Ferguson was hired out of Sophos, where she last worked as channel account manager. Prior to that, she worked at distributor Arrow ECS ANZ, last holding the role of vendor program manager. She also spent a few years at Dell Australia in both sales and customer service roles.
“The commitment that Malwarebytes makes to the channel community is second to none, and that is a big part of why I joined the team,” Ferguson said.
“My industry experience on both sides of the channel – both distributor and vendor – has provided me with unique insights into the requirements and challenges faced by partners.
“I am excited to work with Malwarebytes’ MSPs to assist them in delivering industry leading security solutions to their customers, providing assurance in the face of the rapidly changing global threat landscape, while simultaneously driving efficiencies and ultimately profitability for their businesses.”
