Multicloud technology vendor Rackspace Technology has appointed Luke McClean as public cloud director of sales in Australian and New Zealand.
In his new role, McClean will be tasked with driving Rackspace’s expansion in the ANZ market by "capitalising on his extensive experience and expertise," the company said.
He joins from Singapore-based multicloud MSP Xtremax where he was responsible for leading the establishment and development of the company in Australia.
"I'm excited to be a part of the Rackspace Technology team," McClean said.
"I look forward to working closely with the team to further grow our business across the ANZ region as we broaden our product portfolio with innovative solutions to help accelerate our customers' digital transformation."
McLean previously served in leadership positions in the professional services, data and cloud technology sectors, including stints at Veritas Technologies, Brennan IT, Dimension Data, Insight and TAS.
Over the last decade, his experience includes leading teams overseeing brand strategies and the launch of cloud-based products, in addition to business expansion initiatives in Australia and Asia-Pacific.
"With our strong record in developing and managing large complex cloud infrastructure projects across the region, we look forward to partnering with even more ANZ businesses in the next step of their cloud journeys," Rackspace's ANZ VP of public cloud Martin Dube said.
"Luke’s experience in leading channel teams in the region will help Rackspace Technology expand our existing partnerships and grow alongside our clients."
